Btw, I can recommend turning font &quot;hints&quot; down to none or low to get less blotchy text in Linux. It doesn&#039;t work properly in FreeType anyway.

You get rid of the &quot;uneven&quot; look which bothers me to no end. (curves that turn corners tend to look fatter) The result is a little softer, but a bit more like OS X, since Apple value typeface correctness over artificial pixel grid snapping.</description>
