Did you upgrade your BIOS? What BIOS version do you have?

According to Ubuntu 7.10/Issues/Resume from Suspend Broken with newer BIOS on Dell’s Linux wiki (linked from the Ubuntu 7.10 wiki page) one should not upgrade the system BIOS to A09 or above at this time.
